John Neumeier: Death in Venice The Hamburg Ballet

This is not a story about Ballet like “The Black Swan” but a film of the ballet Death in Venice performed by The Hamburg Ballet. The dancing is superb and the music and story is on an operatic scale, danced to scores by well known composers.
Neumeier’s choreography uses classical ballet steps and gestures this stylization allows his dancers to give great expression to Thomas Mann’s story
